Yes, it has been FOR-EVER since I’ve posted.  Sorry folks.  I’m still here, kicking it.  It’s been a little nuts in the Wilson household these last few weeks.

-Donovan got really sick: fever, a little puking, stuffy stuffy stuffy stuffy nose… poor guy couldn’t even nurse because he couldn’t breathe out of his nose for 3 days.  I was home with him and had to pump and then bottle feed him.  He made his way back to sleeping in our bed…we’re trying to break him of this habit now.

-We (me and baby) flew out to Oregon for 5 days and then Grant joined us.  We got to spend time with my family and friends before flying back on the red eye Christmas night.  Donovan mastered scooting around on his belly–not quite crawling–thanks to my dad, who spent lots of time on the floor with him.

Donovan met his aunt Peggy, Uncle Colin and their kids, Zavion and Avalee.

My mom hosted an “open house” so friends could come visit with us while we were in town.  It was great to see so many people!  Especially my girls:

Of course we had to see Amber and Tuesday!

Tuesday, how you’ve grown!  I’ll be doing a separate post on my time with Amber in the near future.  Stay tuned.  Moving on….

One day while Donovan and I were there, the whole family (mom, dad, colin and his family and us) went up to Portland for the afternoon

I think it was the only day we were there that it wasn’t cloudy and/or rainy.  Hooray for sunshine!  We rode the tram

And we went to see the Zoo Lights!

Donovan loved it!  The people! The lights!  Can you say OVERSTIMULATED?!?!?

Baby got to spend lots of time with Grandpa Hi, and he they both loved every minute of it.

2010 brought Donovan’s first Christmas

It was great to spend so much time with family

When we got back to Burlington (barely…our last flight was the last one in after all the airports on the east coast shut down because of the huge snow storm that was coming!) I still had a week off from work.  Allison and I took advantage of one of those days to take the ferry over to Plattsburgh, NY to go to Target.

We rang in the new year with Allison and her family, along with some other friends.  It was a crazy night of cocktails, pictionary, cocktails, Dick Clark, Wii fun, and more cocktails.

As you take down your holiday decorations, remove that blow up snowman from your front lawn, and start your new diet to get rid of the winter chub you’ve already accumulated, think back on 2010.  What about it was fantastic?  What wasn’t?  How will you make 2011 be even better than last year?  For me, 2010 was wonderful because of Donovan.  Having him was the best part of 2010.  There are little things about the year I could complain about, but I can’t.  I am so blessed with everything I have and everyone that surrounds me in my life, there’s no room for complaints.  I’m not sure yet how 2011 will top last year, but I guess we’ll all have to stay tuned to my blog to find out!  Happy New Year from the Wilsons!
