May 2009

Ok, this was one of the funniest things I’ve read in a while, so I had to post it.  This is courtesy of Amber and Bj–the other day I got an email from Amber that simply had a link to and said “scroll down and read.”  This is what I get: An item on sale along with a customer review of the product.

Three Wolf Moon T-Shirt, Available in Various Sizes

B. Govern “Bee-Dot-Govern”  This item has wolves on it which makes it intrinsically sweet and worth 5 stars by itself, but once I tried it on, that’s when the magic happened. After checking to ensure that the shirt would properly cover my girth, I walked from my trailer to Wal-mart with the shirt on and was immediately approached by women. The women knew from the wolves on my shirt that I, like a wolf, am a mysterious loner who knows how to ‘howl at the moon’ from time to time (if you catch my drift!). The women that approached me wanted to know if I would be their boyfriend and/or give them money for something they called mehth. I told them no, because they didn’t have enough teeth, and frankly a man with a wolf-shirt shouldn’t settle for the first thing that comes to him.
I arrived at Wal-mart, mounted my courtesy-scooter (walking is such a drag!) sitting side saddle so that my wolves would show. While I was browsing tube socks, I could hear aroused asthmatic breathing behind me. I turned around to see a slightly sweaty dream in sweatpants and flip-flops standing there. She told me she liked the wolves on my shirt, I told her I wanted to howl at her moon. She offered me a swig from her mountain dew, and I drove my scooter, with her shuffling along side out the door and into the rest of our lives. Thank you wolf shirt.

Pros: Fits my girthy frame, has wolves on it, attracts women
Cons: Only 3 wolves (could probably use a few more on the ‘guns’), cannot see wolves when sitting with arms crossed, wolves would have been better if they glowed in the dark.

Lol lol lol lol!!!!!  Don’t believe me?  Just click this link and read it for yourself:

This product is sold along side what they call “zubaz” pants (pants I’ve only known to be referred to as Hammer pants) and a book titled “How to Knit Dog Hair.

Nice, Amber and Bj. Nice.

President Obama strikes Hilarious Hump Day yet again!!  Only because adults (or really anyone, for that matter) shouldn’t use the word “hizzy”–no one talks like that anymore.  He gets a pass on the “wazzup,”  but it’s still funny to hear him say it.  Oh, Barack, you’ve made my day!  What a breath of fresh air to have an intelligent, young, funny, more than capable man as our president.  Check out the video below

On Saturday, Grant and I went to see Cameron Shepherd (Allison’s youngest) at his first communion.  It was cute to see all the kids going through the ceremony and I was glad we were sitting with the Shepherds because since we aren’t Catholic, we didn’t really know what to do during the Mass.  But we just did what everyone else did and we were fine.  Afterward we went to one of their friend’s house to celebrate.  Here are the men of the hour:

BlogThis picture shows Cameron’s true personality (he’s the one on the left). A little crazy and funny in front of the camera, while his friend, Mike is totally calm and collected.  After we ate lunch, most of us went downstairs into their basement, which is a huge game room…pool table, air hockey, ping pong, Wii, and the Shepherd’s brought their bean bag game.  All of these I pretty much am not very good at (I was getting better at pool the more we played) but the air hockey turned out to be my forte.  I beat everyone!  It was so much fun we all lost track of time and ended up not leaving until almost 9:00!!!  It was a good day to be inside, though.  It was pouring rain and thundering all afternoon.  Here are some more pictures of the day

Some couldn’t handle all the fun

jadaAfter killin’ everyone at air hockey, I think I killed my arm! It is so sore and is hurting pretty bad, but I gotta say, it was worth it. We had such a good time on Saturday, we didn’t do much on Sunday. Went to church, sat around the house, then the Lloyd’s came over for dinner. That was a nice low-key event. All in all, it was a great weekend!

For a while, I haven’t felt like blogging, even though there has been stuff to blog about.  What’s up with that?  I don’t know, but I’m back.

Last Friday, we went to the Lloyd’s for dinner (mmmm….margaritas and guacamole!)  Their neighbors who live across the street and their 2 kids came over too, so we all hung out in the kitchen drinking, eating and chatting.  But poor Kwame was stuck in the living room having to keep his leg elevated because he just had a knee arthroscopy.  He finally got fed up and decided to join us in the kitchen…and to play dress up

What a pimp. Lol.  Everyone was loving the red hat!

Even Jada got in on it

Here’s another picture just because I was finally able to catch her smiling

Earlier this week was the Rally Awards.  This is an awards ceremony that honors the student athletes.  We got dressed up

(Me in my new shoes)

Grant was lookin’ fly in his new french-cuffed shirt. He finally got to wear his cufflinks!

We went to dinner with the other athletic trainers, went to the ceremony, then went for cocktails afterwards. And the only person that would let me get a picture of them were these two (go figure)

Awww! Aren’t they cute?  Hey, random note…my tulips are blooming.  Yeah!  Thanks, previous owners of our house!

That’s all for now.  I’ll try to stay more up to date!!

Despite the swine flu, despite wars, despite the recession and crime and all other things that are bad, here is something I hope makes your day.  Courtesy of the PS22 (public school #22) in New York.  Enjoy!

Support your local music programs in your schools!!!  It might take extra tax dollars to do it, but it’s worth it.

Oh, and happy Friday!
