September 2008

This last weekend, Grant and I stayed busy.  And of course, I didn’t bring my camera!!!  UGH!!!!!  I hate it when I do that.  We’ve just been working and hanging out at home so I’ve gotten out of the habit of bringing it with me everywhere.  But on Saturday, Grant watched football while I went over to Julie’s house to hang out and help her as much as I could, since Kwame was away at a game. Jada was sleeping most of the time and Kijana was watching tv, just hanging out. So we pretty much just sat and chatted. It was nice! Then I met Grant at home and we went over to Gregg and Candace’s house.  Gregg is the men’s hockey ATc and he and his wife went to Purdue, so we went to watch the Purdue vs Notre Dame game.  That was fun, especially since Notre Dame won! We ate, watched football, Grant played with their daughter Amara.  She’s almost 4 and is so sweet, and she always like to play with boys, so when we walked in the door, she was ready to play with Grant!!  It was cute.

Sunday after church we went over to Kwame and Julie’s house to help celebrate Kwame’s 100th career win! The girl’s soccer team won on Saturday at an away game, so Sunday they had us and their neighbors over for Julie’s tortilla soup (YUM!).  All in all, it was a nice weekend to catch up with friends and watch some sports!  This weekend, women’s hockey opens up their season with a game on Sunday!!  Besides that, I’m not sure what we have planned. Stay tuned!

I saw this online and thought it was too hilarious not to share!  Read on–

AP; SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. – A man has been charged with battery on a police officer for allegedly passing gas and fanning it toward a patrolman. (Ceara note: LOL LOL LOL LOL!!!)

Jose A. Cruz, 34, of Clarksburg, W. Va., was pulled over early Tuesday for driving without headlights, police said. According to the criminal complaint, Cruz smelled of alcohol, had slurred speech and failed three field sobriety tests before he was handcuffed and taken to a police station for a breathalyzer test.

As Patrolman T.E. Parsons prepared the machine, Cruz scooted his chair toward Parsons, lifted his leg and “passed gas loudly,” the complaint said.

Cruz, according to complaint, then fanned the gas toward the officer.

“The gas was very odorous and created contact of an insulting or provoking nature with Patrolman Parsons,” the complaint alleged.

He was also charged with driving under the influence, driving without headlights and two counts of obstruction.

‘I couldn’t hold it no more’
Cruz acknowledged passing gas, but said he didn’t move his chair toward the officer nor aim gas at the patrolman. He said he had an upset stomach at the time, but police denied his request to go to the bathroom when he first arrived at the station.

“I couldn’t hold it no more,” he said.

He also denied being drunk and uncooperative as the police complaint alleged. He added he was upset at being prepared for a breathalyzer test while having an asthma attack. The police statement said he later resisted being secured for a trip to a hospital that he requested for asthma treatment.

Cruz said the officers thought the gas incident was funny when it happened and laughed about it with him.

“This is ridiculous,” he said. “I could be facing time.”

Ceara note: LOL…ya it may be ridiculous, but maybe that’s what he deserves! He’s lucky no one got hurt because of his stupid, stank butt driving drunk.  Some people, I swear…

Obama in ’08!

Ya, basically, I’ve been feeling kinda sick the last few days, hence no postings.  It’s the feeling where you know you might wake up tomorrow with a major cold, or even the flu! So, I’ve been trying to sleep a lot, take meds for the occassional headache, etc. But today I’m feeling much better! I think that Taco Bell Grant bought last night was the ticket!  And since I’m feeling better, it’s time to laugh!

First watch this one (you only need to see the first 5 minutes or so to get the jist)

Then watch this one (or as much as you can take) At the 4 min mark, she really goes to town. Then at the end she explains…

Obama in ’08!

In keeping with football…This cracks me up every time!

So far, this year has been a good start to the Ducks football season! My favorite time of year…College Football! Especially when the Ducks pull off a victory!  My family has season passes and rarely miss a home game. So how wonderful when my dad ran into my girlfriends from college at the game vs Washington (a wonderful win that day!)

My girls–Kristin, Athena, Elizabeth, and Amber (? who I don’t really know, but who they are friends with).

What a great day for a football game!  “It never rains in Autzin Stadium!”

Man, I miss it!  And this weekend, they came back from being down 20-3 to beat Purdue in double overtime at Purdue.  Phew!!!  AND Notre Dame beat Michigan!!  Another happy weekend in the Wilson Household!

Happy Hump Day!

p.s. This is from a show “Reno 911”–I thought it was real the first time I watched it.

I do not advocate for drinking and driving.  NEVER drink and drive!

Just stopping in to say hello.  It’s been pretty slow-going these past few days.  This past weekend, Grant and I just hung out around the house, watched lots of football, ate lots of food.  The only thing we really did was go out to drinks with Allison and Dan on Saturday night.  That was fun.  We were just having beers at the bar, but someone Allison knew from work saw her and sent a waitress over to get us a round of drinks…that’s when we switched beverages.  Grant and Allison had vodka tonics and I had a dirty martini, extra dirty.  All made with Grey Goose vodka, of course! 😉  Only the best for us!!  Just kidding.  It was really nice of them to do that.  But otherwise, nothing has been happening.  Grant’s starting to get busy with the student athletes, work is keeping me plenty busy, too…ya, basically, it’s been business as usual!

Since it’s been so long since my last post, I’ve gotta get you up to speed before the video of the week. Nothing much has been happening, but we’ve been keeping busy 🙂  Kwame’s family came to town for the long weekend and we went over and had dinner. Yummy pork tenderloin!!!

Julie, don’t kill me cuz I put this up!

Then the women’s soccer team had a game. Grant and I haven’t been to a soccer game yet, and since we’re friends now with the coach, we wanted to go check it out.

And the weather was so sunny and warm, we rode our bikes to the field.

Julie got this cool baby-holder (as I call it) from Kwame’s mom. Amber, what do you think? It’s way cute! And Jada was perfectly happy all tucked in there.

Also in news, college football has officially begun!! GO DUCKS!!!  Grant spent most of Saturday watching games, which was fine with me because I went out shopping and bought new running shoes! But was home in plenty of time to watch Oregon pound Washington…actually, it was on so late here I was struggling to stay awake. But texting Kristin and Athena throughout was helping me stay up.  Once the score was 37-10, I decided they had a garaunteed win and turned it off. I think the final score ended up being 44-10. This weekend is really the OFFICIAL start because Notre Dame plays.  If they win, it will be a wonderful weekend…if not…well, let’s just say it will be a sad day in the Wilson household.  Maybe I’ll make these again–

Mmmmmm!!!!!!  Game day nachos!!!

Ok, and with the start of football, comes our video for the day!

Ah yes, the old “giving him the business” call…LOL!  The first time we saw this, Grant and I rewound it like 50 times and were crying because we were laughing so hard!!!
